Admissions
International School of Turin (IST) is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational day school for students from age 3-18.  Because of the school’s international nature, priority for admissions is given to international, English-speaking candidates.  Second priority is given to international candidates who do not speak English, and third priority is given to the brothers and sisters of students already enrolled in the school.  Class size is limited, thus, a waiting list is created once all of the places in any particular class are filled.  
IST reserves the right to determine appropriate grade level placements within its school program.  Students will be placed according to their previous schooling, official transfer documents, their birth date, and their English language skills.  Placement exams may be utilized in order to inform the decision making process.   Students may enter the school with no English speaking skills from Grade 1 onwards.  These students will take part in the school’s English Language Center (ELC) Program until they acquire the necessary English proficiency to join their appropriate grade level.  

To apply for admission the following documents are requested:

-- Completed Application Form 

-- Completed Health Record Form 

-- Completed Agreement Form

-- Official transcripts and report cards documenting previous schooling.

-- For Italian students only, original copies Italian report cards, “nulla osta” and Terza Media Examination Diploma

-- Results of any standardized testing including educational evaluations or psycological and other medical reports

-- Completed Recommendation Form 

-- A copy of the child’s birth certificate or copy of the passport

-- A copy of the child’s immunization record showing all immunizations in effect (MANDATORY)

-- Results of a physical examination documenting good health

-- One passport-size photo 

Please be advised that applications will not be considered until all requested documents have been received.

Admission Procedure

Applications must be completed (with all supporting documents) and submitted via OpenApply by January 31st of each calendar year. All applications not complete by this date will be considered a 'Late Enrolment' and subject to availability in the class.  After the online application is submitted and documents and entrance tests (for students to enter Grade 4 to 12) are received and verified, the application will be evaluated by the school’s Admissions Committee who will consider acceptance to the school. Once the applicant is offered a place in the school, applying families should send the payment of registration fee to confirm the offer and become members of the IST Association.
